The ingredients in Earth’s Ally are highly effective and safe for people, pets and the planet when used as directed. We recommend incorporating the “Sunshine, Shake & Saturate” approach for optimum success with Earth’s Ally.
If you’re switching to Earth’s Ally from a synthetic chemical, you will need to saturate the weeds more than you would with a synthetic.
Ever hear the phrase “salt the Earth?” For centuries, we’ve known root exposure to high concentrations of salt causes plant dehydration and death. Formulated with 10% sea salt, Earth’s Ally disrupts the water balance of common broadleaf weeds causing them to die and preventing them from growing back. However, salt alone doesn’t make a very effective herbicide. We added the optimum proportions of acid and soap to make a truly effective natural weed killer.

Earth’s Ally Weed and Grass Killer. Product has all non-chemical ingredients – salt, water, vinegar, soap. I followed the directions and sprayed the weeds on a sunny day. I followed up by spraying the weeds again on the same day. Waited 2 days and checked the results. Some weeds were killed, others were non-affected (same type of weed). If you are looking for a non-chemical product, this will take multiple spraying attempts to get the weeds killed. I will stick with chemical weed killers which I only need to spray once..
